The next rally is Friday Feb 3 in the large gym. Wear your class shirts and be ready!!
Application packets for the Advanced Leadership class and class officer election packets are now available in the Leadership room. You must submit a packet to be considered for any of these placements. The packet is due March 2. See Mrs. Moya for more information.
Friday Feb 3 is the Winter Rally in the large gym. Be ready to sport your class colors and show some pride!
The student store is open Tuesday and Thursday during lunch. Come see all the new apparel.
COUNSELING
REGISTRATION for the 2012-13 school year begins on Monday, January 23. Please review your registration materials and discuss next course options with your teachers and parents. Counselors will be available in the career center at lunch, by appointment, and email if you have questions. If you are signing up to be a Teacher Assistant, Office Assistant, Library Assistant or enrolling in an ROP class, you must submit an application with your registration materials. Applications are available in the Counseling Office.

Attention sophomores and juniors! Are you interested in doing science research this summer at UC Davis? Stop by the Career Center to pick up information about the UC Davis Young Scholars Program.
Clubs
The delicious treat that has been hitting coffee shops everywhere will soon be available at Oak Ridge. We’re talking’ Cake Pops! FHA-HERO will be making Cake Pops just in time for Valentine’s Day. Available for pick-up after school on Friday, February 10th or early in the morning on Valentine’s Day in C 5. Go to C 5 – that’s the Foods Room, to pre-order and pay during lunch and surprise your sweetie with a tasty treat. Only $1.00 for each Cake Pop, or buy a bouquet of Pops 6 for $5 or a dozen for $10.
ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SOPHOMORES
If you currently have a job or will have a job during the next school year and wish to be in the Work Experience class, see Ms. Urick in Room R-102 to pick up a Work Experience Application Packet. The Work Experience class allows you to earn school credit while working. You may earn from 5 to 10 credits. Work Experience Packets can be picked up in Room R-102 or the Counseling Office. See your counselor or Ms. Urick if you have any questions.
Applications for the National Honor Society are due Friday, February 3rd. Please bring completed applications to the counseling office before the deadline.
National honor society is holding a Valentine’s Day carnation sale! Starting on Wednesday, Feb. 1, three tables will be set up in the quad, by the cafeteria, and near the multipurpose room selling carnations to be delivered to anyone at oak ridge. Each carnation is $1 and they will be delivered on Friday, Feb. 10. Buy a carnation and tell someone you love them!"
DANCE CLASS – Can’t Walk and chew gum?! No problem! Sign up for Dance Class and learn how to dance! See Ms. Franklin in room P-3 if you have any questions.

Be a hero! Bring your little brothers and sisters, neighbors you babysit - the whole family to see Oak Ridge High School's production of "Sleeping Beauty".
