Safety
Safety is one of the most important aspects of school. Safety touches almost every part of school life. Safety encompasses everything from preparing fire drills to looking for trip hazards on campus. Below we have put links to all of the information that a parent or student would need to know in an emergency. The links below explain the role of the parent and student in each of the emergencies listed below and the support offered to you.

Fire/Earthquake Evacuation: This link will explain how we handle these types of evacuations. This link will explain how you will reunite with you student and how the school will communicate the emergency to you.


Lockdown: A lockdown is initiated when the student’s safety is at risk and/or there is danger on campus. An example of a lockdown situation would be a school shooting. This link will tell you how this situation is handled and how you will be reunited with your students. This link will also tell you how the school will communicate with you during this emergency.

Off Campus Evacuation: Off Campus evacuations are rare but can happen. Off campus evacuations can be very frightening and confusing. This link will try and set aside some of those fears and confusions. There is a very structured process in place for an off campus evacuation that will ensure that all students are safe and that parents can be reunited with their students as quickly as possible.


Code Yellow: A code yellow is just like I a yellow on a traffic signal. It cautions us. This link will explain what a code yellow is, when we use it and what it means to you.
